Serving Kirkland’s Critters Since the 1980s

Formerly Totem Lake Critter Doctor, Critter Doctor Animal Hospital started in the mid-1980s on 124th street in Kirkland. Dr Wendy Bernstein bought the clinic from the original owner in 1996 and operated a successful practice for years before realizing that she would need more room to expand the hospital’s services.

After months and months of searching, Dr. Bernstein finally found a perfect new location: a free-standing building with plenty of parking and room to expand. She then built our brand-new Kirkland veterinary facility from the interior struts up and opened what is now our full-service veterinary hospital.

Critter Doctor’s mission has always been to take care of pets and their people. Those of us of a certain age remember having our own personal physician, someone who didn’t just treat us but called to see how we were doing. Critter Doctor is for pets what physicians were for humans decades ago.
