At Critter Critter Doctor Animal Hospital, we strive to see every patient when they need care and will do our best to accomodate same-day appointments. However, there may be limitations in the treatment we are available to provide and in these times, a staff member will do their best to direct you to resources for emergency patient care.
Medical emergencies can, and often do, happen outside of normal business hours. For Kirkland area veterinary emergencies that occur outside of our regular hospital hours, we refer our clients to the following emergency facilities:

When to Seek Emergency Care for Your Pet
The easiest answer as to whether you should seek emergency care for your pet is when you feel his or her medical condition is serious and cannot wait. However, the following general situations should help you determine if you need to seek emergency care for your pet:
- Difficulty breathing
- Acute abdominal swelling
- Electric shock
- Excessive vomiting or diarrhea
- Bleeding
- Exhibits symptoms of heat stroke
- Seizures
- Sudden onset of weakness
- High or low temperature (more than 104 or less than 100 degrees)
- Unable to urinate or defecate
